Feeding a Picky Eater
It’s not easy feeding a picky eater. Sometimes we have to find resourceful ways to get our picky eaters to try something new.
*Have your child pick a couple of new food items while you are both at the supermarket. For example; pick a new fruit (mango) and a new flavored yogurt (honey).
*Have your picky eater help you prepare a meal in the kitchen, that way he/she might be more likely to eat it.
*Get books from the library or go online to find out some amazing facts about food and share them with your child. For example; honey never expires!
*When going out to dinner, pick an interesting place where you get to see how meals are prepared right in front of you and how exciting that can be (habachi or sushi restaurants are entertaining to watch).
If you have any questions about your child’s nutrition, please consult your pediatrician.
