Many research studies have been done about the correlation or relation of music to memory recollection. These studies show that when individuals listened to classical music from the baroque period (Bach, Handel, Vivalvi, Telemann, Corelli, Purcell, etc.) they were able to remember more information than the group who did not listen to music.

It turns out that this type of classical music activates the use of the left and right sides of the brain. This simultaneous use of both brain hemispheres maximizes learning and retention of information.
Listening to classical music also reduces blood pressure, heart rate and stress.

Perhaps as a new year’s resolution we should listen to more classical musical, especially when we, or our children are studying for a test!
