Many of us experience very dry skin in the winter due to the cold weather outside and the artificial heat indoors. But do not worry, we have some tips on how to keep your skin from over-drying:
*Choose a body wash that’s gentle and moisturizing. Some body washes have lotion in their formula to help keep skin hydrated.
*Hot water dries the skin so opt for lukewarm temperature. Limit your shower to 10 minutes max.
*Use a gentle sponge or washcloth and don’t rub your skin vigorously. Gently pat dry your skin with a soft cotton towel.
*Moisturize your skin right after you shower with a gentle lotion or body oil.
*Choose clothing with natural fibers; such as silk or cotton.
*Fragrance-free laundry detergent and fabric softeners are recommended for very dry skin.
*Moisturize before going to bed. If your hands and feet need some extra TLC, you might want to wear gloves and socks to bed after applying a moisturizer.
We hope these tips will help your skin during the winter 🙂
