The first step is setting a beautiful table. Your plating and silverware with a fall colored napkins and a homemade centerpiece of miniature pumpkins and fall leaves. Candles are always a nice touch. You could always add some fresh apples to the table if you like.
As far as dinner goes, make it simple. No need to slave in the kitchen for hours on Thanksgiving day. Pre-order a turkey with all the fixings from your local grocery store or restaurant. Plenty of businesses these days cater to the busy family.
If you insist on cooking yourself, put your turkey in an oven bag and let it slowly cook while you relax. Make a few of your favorite side dishes. Some quick family favorites are green bean casserole, candied yams, cranberry sauce and mashed potatoes. Buy some rolls and you’re good to go.
No need to fuss and stress over a holiday that is meant to be enjoyed. Go to the parade, watch football and enjoy your families.
